The body style for the 100 was originally designed
by Gerry Coker and is regarded
as one of the most beautiful
sports cars ever produced. To accurately translate
the classic design I obtained
Healey literature and reference material including copies
of original drawings,
photographs and parts. I attended Healey events, spoke to
experts, and made sketches
that I could refer to back in the studio.

The NURBS surfacing program called Rhinoceros
was used to model the body and
components. A companion
program called Flamingo was used to bring the parts to
life with studio lighting,
accurate materials, color and shading. Below are screen
shots showing the modeling
progress and surface evaluation tools being utilized.

After many months of work, Fine Art prints of
the Austin Healey 100 are now being
offered. They are printed
with archival inks on heavy weight paper with a matte finish.
The print size is 19"
x 13", signed by the artist and are suitable for framing.
Each
print is protected with
a clear envelope made of archival polypropylene with a
re-
sealable gummed flap and
packed carefully for shipping. A smaller print, 8.5" x 11"
is also available for
most of the images.
